Training & Credentials
This isn't background. It's the whole point.
The reason Josef can fix what other shops can't is that he was trained to a standard that no longer exists in most of the world.

Questions
Things people usually ask.
All of them. If it was made to keep time, we service it — mechanical and quartz watches, mantel and wall clocks, grandfather clocks, and antique movements other shops turn away. There's no brand list and no exclusions. Josef trained in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, so vintage and complex pieces are exactly the kind of work this bench was built for. When a part doesn't exist, he makes it.
It starts with a conversation, not a catalog. You tell us what you have in mind — a new piece, a redesign, a stone you want reset — and we talk through what's possible, what it will cost, and how long it will take before you commit to anything. From there, every step happens in-house, by hand, on our bench. You deal directly with the person doing the work, start to finish.
It depends entirely on the piece and what it needs — a battery change and a seized antique movement aren't the same job. We don't quote blind. Bring it in or call, and we'll give you an honest assessment of what's possible and what it would cost, at no charge for the conversation. Complex work costs more than a quick service, but the piece works when it leaves, and it stays in your family.
We make house calls for large or fragile pieces that can't travel safely — grandfather clocks especially. We regularly serve Broward County and Palm Beach, and we'll travel as far as Louisiana and the Bahamas for the right piece. Call us and we'll work out the details so your clock never has to leave home before we've looked at it.
If you've inherited a watch, clock, or piece of jewelry and aren't sure what you have, bring it in. We're happy to look at estate pieces and talk you through their condition and what your options are. As with everything here, the conversation comes first and there's no obligation.
