In business for close to 30 years, Josef Hirzinger and his Wife Judy and his Son Joseph Gabriel have strived to instill a sense of trust and confidence in their customers. Joseph Clock & Watch Shop is built on relationships and thrives today because of the value our team places on every person who walks through our doors.

Our Story History
Established in 1990.
Joseph Clock & Watch Shop
A family-owned company with years of tradition, Josef Hirzinger is a Austrian watch-and-clockmaker. He studied the craft of watch and clock making and was for 7 years in the Uhrmacherschule Karlstein an der Thaya Austria and worked with a master in the mountainous region of Tyrol, Austria.
After coming to America and starting a shop in Florida, he went on a visit to New Orleans. Hirzinger, along with his wife and son, had lunch at a restaurant on Common Street. As they left, Judith his wife, pointed out a "for sale" sign on a watch-and-clock shop next door... Two years later he bought the business, New Orleans is our second home and store.

- Josef was born in Austria
- Immigrated to the USA 30 years ago
- European master watchmaker, clockmaker, goldsmith, and silversmith
- Opened the first shop in Broward County in 1990
- Now in 2018, opened the 10,000-square-foot store with his son Joseph Gabriel, a very passionate watchmaker and clockmaker himself
